Exhibition Permit FAQs
It depends on the exhibition category and the services available to your account. Trade and consumer exhibitions require an eligible organizing entity; product showcases have different account availability. SYNC reviews the proposed applicant before coordinating the request.
Start with the exhibition organizer’s licensing arrangements and exhibitor manual. Participating in a show and organizing it are different roles. Your stand, contractor access, displays or separate activities may still need approvals. We help identify the support relevant to your participation.
SCEGA’s trade exhibition and product showcase definitions prohibit direct selling. Consumer goods exhibitions follow a different category that permits sales under its applicable rules. Tell us about your sales plans before the application category is selected.
It is not an automatic substitute for other applicable permits. We review municipal site matters with the venue host and assess entertainment-related requirements where the programme includes regulated activities. The scope depends on the location and what the exhibition will include.
We can coordinate agreed invitation letters and exhibitor visa documents alongside the exhibition plan. The appropriate visa depends on the person’s role and circumstances. The exhibition license does not itself grant entry, and visa decisions remain with the relevant authorities.
Check the goods, quantities and import arrangements before travel. Carrying samples personally does not remove customs requirements. Review customs declarations and any temporary-admission arrangements with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) and your customs representative; exhibition licensing does not clear goods through customs.
